If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

askmy.cv is an online platform that allows users to create AI-powered CV profiles. The Service enables users to:

• Upload and manage CV documents
• Create public profile pages with AI-powered chat functionality
• Interact with recruiters and potential employers through an AI chatbot
• Manage profile settings and preferences

3. User Accounts and Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account

You must be at least 16 years old to use this Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

4. User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Upload, post, or transmit any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable

You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Service, including CVs, profile information, and other materials ("Your Content"). By uploading Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and distribute Your Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to all content you upload and that Your Content does not infringe any third-party rights.

5.2 Our Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, functionality, design, and software, is owned by askmy.cv and protected by United Kingdom and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without our express written permission.

6. Subscription and Payment Terms

Certain features of the Service may be subject to subscription fees. If you purchase a subscription:

• Fees are charged in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected)
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• Refunds are provided in accordance with UK consumer law and our refund policy
• We reserve the right to change subscription fees with 30 days' notice

All fees are exclusive of VAT where applicable. You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your use of the Service.

7. Cancellation and Refund Policy

In accordance with UK consumer protection laws:

• You have the right to cancel your subscription within 14 days of purchase and receive a full refund
• If you cancel after 14 days, you will continue to have access until the end of your current billing period
• No refunds will be provided for partial billing periods

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. 9. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to provide a reliable Service but do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times. We may:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time

• Experience technical difficulties or outages

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
• We may delete your account and content, subject to our data retention policies
• All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in your settings.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service.
